WoofGPT was built on the belief that the questions you ask about your dog—and the information you share while doing so—are nobody’s business but yours. We therefore collect and keep only what is strictly necessary to run the service, and we never sell or share your data for advertising, analytics, or model‑training purposes.

1. What we collect

We set no more than two functional cookies to maintain GPT conversation coherence and to keep you signed in. No advertising, analytics, or third‑party tracking cookies are ever placed on your device.

2. How we use your data

To answer your questions. Your prompt travels straight to our local language model, and the output returns directly to your browser.
To improve reliability—not to train future models. Aggregate error logs help us fix bugs and prevent misuse, but we never feed your chats back into training pipelines.
To provide optional paid features. If you subscribe, payments are processed through PayPal or Stripe; WoofGPT never stores your card number.

3. Your choices & rights

Erase everything. Delete individual chats or your entire account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Download a copy. Request an export of your chat history (for signed‑in accounts) in JSON or plain text.
No hidden retention. Once data is deleted, it is removed from all live databases immediately and scheduled backups within 7 days.
No marketing messages. We will only email you about critical service updates, billing issues, or if you explicitly opt‑in to a newsletter.

4. Children's privacy

WoofGPT is not designed for children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

5. Security measures

We use end‑to‑end HTTPS, encrypted databases, rate‑limiting, and regular security reviews. While no system is flawless, we work hard to keep your information safe.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever need to adjust how we handle data, we’ll post the updated policy here and notify registered users at least 7 days in advance. Material changes will never reduce your privacy rights without explicit consent.
